Weekly meet: April 30th, 2013

Come work on your projects at Gainesville Hackerspace! If you have a project you’d like to work on in the company of others, bring it on down. We have tools, knowhow, and lots of people who would love to participate.

Guest event: UF’s Mobile Computing Killer App Competition

Tomorrow Gainesville Hackerspace will put its normal Demo Night on hold to host the demo presentations for UF’s Mobile Computing Killer App Competition. (Winners will be announced on April 18th at Startup Hour.)

The event will run from 3pm to 7pm and will showcase approximately 20 mobile apps. Doors open at 2:30pm and the event is open to all.

Please drop by at any time during the event to check out the demos and chat with talented students about their projects!

Ian has been working ridiculously hard on our 3D printer and we’re getting some pretty good prints from it, so come check it out and print something!

Hackerspace Demo Night: March 19th, 2013

Hackerspace Demo Night is a monthly demonstration of awesome projects by Hackerspace members. Admission is free and open to all.

The next Hackerspace Demo Night will happen on Tuesday, March 19th, 2013 at 7:00pm.

What’s being demoed:

  • My experiences jailbreaking my iPhone (Manny Rodriguez)
  • RedRock Boardshop’s new electric skateboard: the LaGrange L1 (Aaron King)
  • Art Lab (Colin Curry)
